Animals Skating in Detroit: Animals Skating in Detroit is an ongoing video series where I animate lovely cartoon animals as if they were skateboarding through the city streets of Detroit, MI. The adjacent photos depict the 3rd-9th installations in the collection and are aptly called Animals Skating in Detroit Video #3-#9: Giraffe, Zebra, Squirrel, Dog, Elephant, Llama, and Monkey, respectively. Videos range from 1-3 minutes and are set to loop perpetually in the exhibition space. To date, ten videos have been fabricated, each short documenting the skate thrashings of a unique animal. A select few excerpts from the aforementioned video series can be found at the Left of Centre site at the mini-LOC Destructions Theatre.
